A lot of men hit the gym in a bid to achieve a great body like the models in a bodybuilding magazine. Some of them turn to well-planned and balance training and become natural bodybuilders while others cheat themselves by using anabolic drugs or steroids.
So far, natural lifting becomes a favourite way of training body composition, without, of course, using steroids. Many natural bodybuilders have become instant celebrities while earning the respect of their fans for their hard-earned physique.
But can you recognise whether a lifter is a natural bodybuilder or a steroid user? The following methods below may not always be 100% correct, but if you notice many of them, there is a high possibility that someone is a natural bodybuilder.
With a perfect pair of men’s joggers during their workout routine, no wonder why these natural bodybuilders achieved these bodies. Here are five simple ways of recognising a natural bodybuilder:
1. They weigh less.
The famous mantra for natural bodybuilders is ‘lose fat and build muscle,’ so they typically weigh less compared to what other people imagine.
If you have seen bodybuilders in the Mr Olympia competition, then you are aware that they weigh less than they do. The 3-D muscles create an illusion that makes them look like they weigh more but their weight falls typically in 270 pounds or below.
2. They don’t look synthetic.
Bodybuilding will cause a person to lose weight. If he uses steroids or anabolic drugs, chances are his body will look like it is made up of plastic or worse, is edited using Photoshop. Meanwhile, a natural bodybuilder maintains his worldly look despite losing a high percentage of body fats.
They will look lean for a short period but they will be able to peak in time for the photo shoots, unlike steroid users who look competition ready all year round because the drugs allow them to sustain such body.
3. Normal Head to Body Ratio
One of the funniest developments on bodybuilders who used steroids is the ratio of their head to their body. Sometimes, their heads seem to be too tiny for their body as they develop bigger muscles. Although sometimes steroids can make the head a little bigger, it will still remain non-proportion with the body. For natural lifters, they maintain the right head-body ratio and their muscles develop slower.
4. They may look depleted (sometimes).
In some cases, natural bodybuilders could look depleted. You can assure that someone is a natural lifter by looking at their traps and shoulders. Becuase of the diet, their muscles become flat and depleted and as mentioned above they develop slower. You cannot grow a muscle while losing weight at the same time, that is something roided lifters do.
For a steroid user, he can manage to have bigger shoulders and traps while undergoing a diet. Those who take anabolic drugs have a higher allowance for carbs or fats, allowing them to eat more bad foods.
5. They don’t age fast.
Because they don’t force to build muscles, natural bodybuilders develop healthier habits, which gives them more youthful looks. They can avoid the possible side effects of anabolic drugs such as fatigue, distorted sleep patterns, and baldness.
