The star of Hunger Games and Red Sparrow Jennifer Lawrence shared her secrets to her diet and fitness regimen.
For the 28-year old Hollywood actress, she does not mind putting in extra time in the gym just to eat the food she wants. Who can’t say NO to foods? Not even Katniss Everdeen herself.
No wonder, she is regularly rocking all types of workout clothes for women or any workout sweat jacket as she maintains a great physique despite her ‘not so strict’ diet.
Indulging in Foods
Jennifer Lawrence is one of the highest paid actresses today. Her famous roles include Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games Series and Tiffany Maxwell in Silver Lining’s Playbook, where she won Best Actress in the 2012 Academy Awards.
Though haters used to call him ‘fat,’ JLaw remains one of the most sizzling stars and continues to become an inspiration to many young women in the world.
In a recent interview with Vogue, Lawrence revealed her diet and fitness secrets in a very Jennifer Lawrence way, being the outspoken and bubbly she is.
She said she is not a fan of people eating a specific food to maintain their body as she is the other way around. She doesn’t mind indulging in her favourite foods like pizza even if it means adding extra time to the gym.
“I don’t like when people say, ‘I only do this or eat this.’ Because I eat. I’m not very strict with my diet: If I want a piece of pizza, I eat a piece of pizza. But I do work out more than normal because I have a certain way that I want to look, and a way that I want to fit into my clothes.”
She added:
“I get photographed when I’m not asking for it, so there’s added pressure to look and feel your best. For me, it’s easier to put that extra effort into the gym instead of putting the extra effort into the gym instead of putting the extra effort into: ‘Oh no, I can’t eat that.’ ”
She works with her personal trainer, Kit Rich, where they do a combo of cardio and pilates during training.
Never Starve Yourself
It seems that JLaw keeps everything simple. If she wants to eat pizza, she will eat pizza. There is no stopping her from doing that. The same goes for her makeup routine.
“I don’t wear makeup. I always wear sunblock. Low bun. Dior Lip Glow. Sunglasses.”
But this does not mean that she is taking her workouts for granted.
“But I do work out more than normal because I have a certain way that I want to look, and a way that I want to fit into my clothes,” she continues. “I get photographed when I’m not asking for it, so there’s added pressure to look and feel your best.”
Six years ago, she revealed in an interview with Elle about the importance of eating food. She said she wanted to be fit while avoiding being underfed.
“I don’t want little girls to be like, ‘Oh, I want to look like Katniss, so I’m going to skip dinner,’ ” she said. “That’s something I was really conscious of during training when you’re trying to get your body to look exactly right. I was trying to get my body to look fit and strong — not thin and underfed.”
She continued:
“I eat like a caveman, I’ll be the only actress who doesn’t have anorexia rumours. In Hollywood, I’m obese. I’m considered a fat actress.”
